The Church and State

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor
It is time to shake up our religious leaders.

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor admitted that "Christian belief has virtually vanished from everyday life." Speaking to an assembly of a hundred priests he said that "Religion is no longer the background against which individuals and the government measure their morality."

The Flame - The Newspaper of the National Front  Excerpts from The Flame newspaper

The church has been sowing the seeds of its own destruction for decades. Church leaders have given up traditional Christianity and the moral stand every time a Marxist has accused them of being too harsh. They have conceded so much that Marxism is now all that we hear. For most, Bible-addicted Christianity has never been that important, but Christianity as a framework for people to live by and make the right decisions is. Many of those brought up in our godless society are creating serious social problems: lack of respect for the elderly and for other peoples property; lack of respect for themselves and no restraint in the way they behave. From the government down, there is a common belief that anything will do. Mediocrity and failure are acceptable. Many have come to believe that failure through laziness and incompetence deserve rich rewards. This can be seen in the newly-arrived "compensation culture" and golden hand-shakes given to shamed Company Directors. This lack of moral fibre created the culture of the yob, the car thief, the drug addict and the single mother.

Vicar Donald Allister refused to include the two great rousing hymns, 'I Vow to Thee, My Country' and 'Jerusalem' in a wedding ceremony. He considered them too patriotic. No doubt some anti-white, anti-Christian rap singing would have been acceptable.

Dr George Carey, Archbishop of Canterbury, came out in agreement with his Roman Catholic counterpart. He said "There is indifference to Christian values." In a demoralised society many are in thrall to selfish values and for meaning look to alcohol, drugs, pornography and recreational sex.

Is it any wonder, while the entertainment industry has been allowed to dominate the thinking of the young? This business has for many years been monopolised by communists, perverts and cosmopolitans. They have used their powerful position to denigrate and destroy Christian-based morality and codes of behaviour. We have also allowed education and social services to be taken over by those who seek to destroy all the principles we hold dear. Not until the public join with us to drive out this cancer of liberalism and "anything goes" mentality can we restore order and decency to our society.

A letter from a Leicester NF member
Dear Sir,

I was pleased to see some Christian comment in the last issue of The Flame. As a Christian I am appalled at the way the country has turned its back on its religion and the way the church has been infiltrated by liberal left-wingers who seem to confuse Christianity with Marxism. Many times I have sat through prayers in church when the vicar prayed for peace in Ulster and had not a clue what he was talking about. Why don't God's people pray for God's hand to move against the IRA, who kill and bomb his people? I have heard the nonsense calling for an end to trouble in Bradford and the Northern Towns. Why not an appeal to God to drive out the Muslim threat that is engulfing our country? No wonder churches are empty and our youth is not interested in it, when church leaders are liberal traitors who embrace movements like the gay and lesbian Christian movement, which is not only wrong and sick but a contradiction in terms: it's like claiming to be "a meat eating vegetarian." So it is ironic that it is down to us to carry on the torch of Bible-believing Christianity and be hated by both Church and Government. But for all those Christians who feel like me, here is a passage from Christ's own lips. "And ye shall be hated of all nations for my names sake... but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" (Matthew 24: 9-13).

Successive governments have undermined British nationality and invited millions of unwanted foreigners here. During his period as Home Secretary, Jack Straw could always be relied upon to thwart the cause of British nationalism at every opportunity.

His replacement, David Blunkett, has proven to be considerably worse. Many patriots have been arrested for no good reason, sometimes during dawn raids on their homes. There has been no purpose for this other than to try and frighten us into surrendering our country.

Much wisdom has been spoken by great men of the past. Advice that the political pygmies of Blairite Britain go out of their way to reject. Albert Schweitzer, a great Christian missionary, was a man who did more for the Africans than all of the rent-a-mob socialists. He lived amongst them and genuinely cared for them. With a full understanding of the situation, he warned, "You must never treat blacks as equals, if you do they will destroy you."

William Pitt warned the government in 1803 that "We must recollect what it is we have at stake, what it is we have to contend for. It is for our liberty, it is for our independence, nay for our existence as a nation; it is for our character, it is for our very name as Englishmen, it is for everything dear and valuable to man on this side of the grave."

Christianity versus Marxism: a supporter writes

Although a devout Christian I have recently felt ill at ease of our churches. Whenever I am touring I visit the local church or cathedral. More often than not I am confronted with communist literature and see meetings of ungodly organisations being advertised. When travelling to support Robert Relf I had cause to visit Winchester and after the demonstration I went to the cathedral. There I entered into conversation with two members of the clergy who, unprompted, informed me that the Bishop there was a blatant communist. The enemies of Christianity expound the theory that Marxism is in accord with Christianity. Nothing could be further from the truth: the former seeks the destruction of the latter.

The acceptance of communism within the church has created such serious problems that traditional Christian clergy have been leaving. This has prompted the Archbishop of Canterbury to plead for loyalty from those threatening to go. However he has caused many of the problems himself by trying to accommodate into Christianity theologies which are incompatible with it.

Fortunately there are still some good, outspoken clergy. Bishop Barry Shucksmith from Portsmouth wrote to the Daily Telegraph, clearly identifying the problem. He writes that "It is more than a problem than the issue of women priests. The Church of England has become a Noah's Ark in which clean and unclean alike are gathered. Its whole emphasis is on inclusiveness, regardless of the limits of biblical orthodoxy."

So much unchristian thinking has entered the church that one can question the resurrection, the divinity of Christ and life after death, use drugs and practice homosexuality and still become a bishop. There needs to be a deep investigation of the policies of the Anglican Church in particular.

Karl Marx has been dead a long while and it is time his philosophy was buried beside him, an evil philosophy which has been used to justify the enforced starvation and murder of millions.
