London National Front to contest West Ruislip ward in the London borough of Hillingdon on 2nd October 2008

Local Ruislip born and bred candidate, Ian Edward, is standing for election in West Ruislip Ward council by-election. The ward comes under the Ruislip & Northwood Parliamentary Constituency, in which Ian has stood many times, taking just under 30% at the last council election in Harefield Ward.

Ian Edward last stood in the GLA constituency for the National Front and took just under 5,500 votes in Hillingdon and just under 8,000 votes in Hillingdon & Ealing (4.5%). There has been an unusual delay in the calling of this election after the sitting Councillor, Solveig Stone, died. It was therefore decided that Hillingdon National Front would call the election, as there are many important issues facing this area which need to be addressed locally.

The local National Front branch have been campaigning since 1967 (with increased intensity and increased votes over the last 3-4 years), with locally based activists who are well aware of the problems it faces and have the local knowledge. There would be no reason for other so-called nationalist parties, such as the BNP, to stand and therefore split the vote, and to come into the area and promise everything and then disappear.

A vote for the National Front is not just a vote for your own future, but also for that of your children and your children’s children.
